twelve months

I started this project in September 2012 when I began college, and since then it has become a way of remembering the changing months via self portraits and portraits of people I love. My goal every month was to create a portrait that captured how each month felt, and what it meant to me.

It was something to always look forward to, and I'm so glad I was able to document these eventful, ever surprising past twelve months of my life in such a special way.

Jen + Brandon - Married!

At the end of May, I shot my very first wedding - Jen and Brandon's!

Anna, my second shooter for the day, and I rented a car and drove upstate, excited and singing along to the radio the entire way. I didn't quite know what to expect at first, but as soon as we arrived and began shooting it felt completely natural.  It was such a beautiful, heartfelt wedding, and I am so happy and honored that Jen and Brandon asked me to photograph their special day! Wedding photography is an experience like no other, and an experience I cannot wait to repeat.

Here's a peek of some photos from the day!

Printic App

I was recently asked to test out Printic, an app that allows you to turn your smartphone photos (through Instagram, Facebook, or camera roll) into glossy, 3x4 inch, Polaroid-like prints. I found the app extremely quick and easy to use, and there is even a feature that gives a preview of what your prints will look like before you order. You can even add custom text.
The photos arrived in a week, and were beautiful. I loved how the colors were bright and vivid and stayed true to the original. For only 99 cents a print, and free shipping, it's an affordable treat for yourself or a friend :)

Here is a sample of the Printics I received:
